How often does the copier work properly vs how often is it malfunctioning? If the repairs are not typically that expensive and if they only happen a couple times a year, it might be a good idea to just keep the old one and eek a few more years out of the old machine until you’re in a better position to get a new one.
How big of inconvenience is it if it does break down? If you are one of those companies that always needs a functioning copier, and the old one is always breaking down and causing huge inconveniences, then for the sake of your client base you may need to seriously consider replacing the old one.
How much are you paying for cost per print? If your cost per print is over 8 cents for a color print and over 1.2 cents for a black and white print, it is probably time to consider getting a new copier contract, at the very least.
